Fynbos Ensemble is a vibrant and versatile collective of professional classical musicians performing at weddings, corporate events, private functions and concerts throughout Cape Town, the Western Cape and beyond.

Led by versatile cellist Anjulie Nock, the ensemble brings together some of the region’s most accomplished freelance performers, allowing each event to be matched with the ideal combination of musicians. Whether presented as a string quartet, trio, duo, or an expanded ensemble featuring instruments such as flute, piano or voice, Fynbos offers a refined and memorable live music experience tailored to the occasion.

The ensemble combines exceptional musicianship, decades of collective industry experience, an extensive repertoire and a deep understanding of the role live music plays in creating atmosphere and elevating events. Above all, the musicians share a professional, collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding value for every client.

Fynbos Ensemble represents the continuation and evolution of the highly regarded ACE Ensemble, which since 2003 has performed at hundreds of events and concerts across South Africa, including appearances for the Presidency, international royalty, celebrities, major corporations and leading arts festivals. While the ensemble has evolved over the years, its vision remains unchanged: to uplift, inspire and connect audiences through the beauty of live music, whether on the concert stage or as an elegant backdrop to a special occasion.

The Ensemble’s repertoire library spans more than ten hours of music, covering the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras, as well as contemporary favourites, film music, jazz standards and modern hits. The musicians can create instrumental arrangements of virtually any song and are equally at home providing accompaniment for vocalists or collaborating with other performers. For events requiring a more contemporary feel, electric string performances with backing tracks are also available.
